I can't really form an opinion quite yet; having not met any of you. I'd really need to see you around the servers and stuff. You've probably been on them, I haven't been quite recently due to some schoolwork business and I won't dispute that you haven't. Although any insight I could give would be wasted considering me not having known you. From what I can see you give me no reason to say no. Although, perhaps some of you should become a little more acquainted with the community before you apply.
(Should we get one of those threads going, where everyone can add each other on Steam? Might be a good way to let everyone meet one another).
There's always that age old problem of time zones. Speaking from personal experience, this always does seem to hinder applicants who live in countries far out of the GMT or EST time zones simply because the staff can't hold to account their activity levels on the community. It just seems to be down to luck after then if the admins agree on having you on the team without any idea on your activity levels.
Now, take no offense to this please but as of present, the community is hardly roving so there's little to get acquainted on unless we go for the more direct approaches of talking outside of the server via IM clients. What you propose there would be a good way to start the community cogs turning.
Though since everyone else is trying though, I'll give it a shot also. I've already played a admin role on the old HLDM Role Play servers once before and in a couple of Sven servers so plugin commands aren't exactly foreign to me and although certain admins might be looking down on my actions, that's just me trying to have fun with what's there in front of me. Should mediation or decision making come into play, I can actually be a serious and level headed guy. And taking the leaf out of Hypern's book, as long as the good sir permits me, I could pull a few fun little games midway through.
Now I'll understand if activity comes down to the decision making and I'll be all the more happier if we could sit down and have a few metaphorical beers together and as of lately I'll be having more free time to play on the server so you can have my assurances from now until August next year at least. Maybe more if my University doesn't bog me down too much.
