[Guns Blazing]

As with many a thread on this forum, this will probably die quick. Just something to keep the activity going.

So what do you predict we'll see, hear, not see etc. this year?

I'll leave it to Dax to predict things about HL2:Episode 3.

My predictions:

Xbox 360 Natal will be released and will suck, people will eat it up without thinking.

Nintendo will get worse and then save itself by announcing some information about the next 3D Zelda, at some point.

Heavy Rain will be dumb like Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) was, people won't like it a great deal.

WoW Cataclysm will be WoW Cataclysm, love or hate it. (It'll sell a whole bunch.)

Music games will die (yay!)

Another Call of Duty will come out and it will be terrible. (Treyarch much?)

THE GAME INDUSTRY WILL GO DOWN SEVERAL NOTCHES IN QUALITY.
(It'll be okay though, there's some things to keep it going.)


Any suggestions?

CORRECT PREDICTIONS:

1.[Biohazard]: "Mass Effect 2 won't have coop. again." (It didn't).

2.[Biohazard]: "bioschock 2 will rock." (It got good reviews and everyone seems to like it).


INCORRECT PREDICTIONS:

1. [Guns Blazing]: "Heavy Rain will be dumb like Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) was, people won't like it a great deal.
    (I thought it was dumb, but people liked it a lot. Still I guess this means I was wrong.)

1. Media for Portal 2 released, release date in 2010. (That was a big one )

Call of duty: vietnam will be much better because it will have dedicated servers

Splinter cell conviction might be the best coop game of 2010

bioschock 2 will rock.

Dead Space 2 will be awesome

Mass Effect 2 won't have coop. again.

Star Trek Online will fail.

Rage might be good (since its coop)

Battlefield Bad Company 2 will beat down mw2.

Aliens vs Predator will be a good game i guess

Just Cause 2 will be nice, tho i dont like the physics at all

oh and lets hope coop games that actually get their own story, means not singleplayer releated, wont fail that hard as spec ops did.

You're right about the dedicated servers, but it's Activision's call and I think they'll make the wrong one.

After Bayonetta and GTA4's full on dick, this year will have plenty of full male nudity for everyone to enjoy.

People will hypocritically compare Shenmue to Heavy Rain. For some reason the controls and mundane tasks are suddenly a good feature.

There will be no good first party games on the Wii.

Star Wars The Old Republic won't come out this year.

WoW has reached its peak and will begin to become an Everquest.

Call of Duty 7 will come out and everyone will hate it due to a bias against Treyarch (Don't get me wrong, I hate Treyarch's CoD games, but I have valid reasons) (See Call of Duty syndrome).

Super Mario Galaxy 2 will come out and everyone with a Wii will treat it like the second coming of Jesus. Everyone who doesn't own a Wii will just overlook it and say it's the "Same Shit Over And Over Again" (See Call of Duty Syndrome).

Announcement of Episode 3.

Another TF2 update, fucking up the game even more.

A new bigass Killing Floor update, pimping the game even more.

Announcement of L4D3 in November 2010.

A new Madden, and everyone blindly buys it despite it being the same shit (See Call of Duty syndrome).

Left 4 Dead 3 Boycott (It's inevitable).

Robert Bowling will die due to a severe case of fagginess and being contaminated with Call of Duty syndrome. (See Call of Duty Syndrome).
